Erm, because Run Daemons runs the scripts in /etc/init.d/ and not the actual program? I guess you could just directly add it, but I don't know what kind of effect this will have.

Firefox 4 Upgrade package for SliTaz 3 and cooking
That's exactly what the above does. It just places Firefox so it can be used system wide and creates the icon for it. It's better than having Firefox just running from somewhere in your home folder :|
