Installing some packages lets xorg hijack the system without warning. Wine might be one cause but are there other packages that do that too?
I hope slitaz keeps xvesa or an equivalent or improvement, maybe a "slivesa" addon that fills the 5 most important holes without going all the way to xorg.
xvesa has been discontinued - as in, it's not being developed anymore. It was dropped in favour of Xorg by the Xorg team. Many applications have followed suite. The latter is beyond the SliTaz dev's control...
