[SOLVED] Slitaz 3 Networking issue

    I have used Slitaz 2 for a while and was very impressed with it. When Sliatz 3 came i was expecting it to be much better.

    But i am facing a few problems that i hope to get answers for here:
    1. The networking config does not get implemented when on Static IP even after changing as root.
    2. I am not able to mount any external disks or pen drives: specifically tried FAT and EXT4.

    I am missing something here. If no how do i fix these issues. Pl advice. I am not a command line expert by the way.

    Static IP:
    You have to edit /etc/network.conf for your static IP and default gateway and /etc/resolv.conf for a second nameserver. It seems that Netbox Manager does not change /etc/network.conf.

    Install linux-ext4.tazpkg

    Open as root /etc/rcS.conf with text editor

    Add msdos ext4

    to LOAD_MODULES=

    reboot

    @andy872: Thanks for the reply. This is what i figured i needed, but Slitaz 2 dis not need this to be done. You entered the Static Ip values and it would be accepted without going root and editing the conf file. Isnt there any other way?
