Multiple Boot
  • RajinderRajinder March 2010
    Hey,
    Here Goes...

I installed Xp first on hda1. Then Slitaz on hda4 with home on hda3.

On the first rebbot after install the computer staright away loads Xp. (No Grub).

If I change the boot drive from hda1 to hda4 I get an error saying "error loading OS" (No grub again).

Gparted always shows the two partitions as Etx3 while whenever I try to install the Slitaz installer will show all my partitions as NTFS

Any help would be greatly appriciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Cheers,
    Rajinder

I think you have to install grub on the partition where the root file system is installed. Based on your comment it is hd4. I believe Grub does not work on NTFS drives. It works on fat32 but not on ntfs. Once you install grub on your Slitaz Root partition, you can add the grub entry to boot windows. To install grub you can use your live cd.
