Trying to install Eclipse Classic - Configure java Path
  • HenriqueHenrique February 2010
    Hi,
how I install Eclipse Classic? I have downnloaded and extracted eclipse-SDK-3.5.1-linux-gtk.tar.gz.
When I trie to open eclipse executable it gives me an error.

"A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK)
must be available in order to run Eclipse. No Java virtual machine
was found after searching the following locations:
    /home/tux/eclipse/jre/bin/java
    java in your current PATH"

How to correct the problem. How I change my current path and where is current Path of Java in Slitaz?

    open your Slitaz Package Manager
Search for: jre (=>which means: java runtime environment)
    get-install the following package: get-java6-jre
    that should do it
