I got this message (Busybox : Using fallback suid method) when I login as a user other than root and each time I use a command. I'm using a base slitaz without X. I know this message is show when a user try to use a command of busybox although he doen't has the execute permission. But here, all my standard commands are in 777 mode and busybox is ok too.
I may have something to do with my passwd file: it has been copied from another system, along with shadow, group and gshadow.
Hi, I guess that not readable would be much more secure for a base utility as busybox, besides managing sticky bit etc ;-) If you accidentally overwrite busybox contents, you lose your shell, nothing less.
