What does soundconf identify your soundcard as ?
Does command lspci show your soundcard ?
What is your soundcard chip, does slitaz have the module, does lsmod show that it's loaded ?
    Can you open alsamixer ?
Are all playback levels up full, nothing muted?
    Install alsa-utils.tazpkg
    Post output from:
    aplay -L

Post as much info as you can.

It appears that soundconf has detected and installed two (2) sound devices.
Device 0 as shown by alsamixer F2 /proc/asound/cards is INTEL ICH7
Plug your speakers into the audio out of "other" soundcard and you should get sound.
If you have no second soundcard and soundconf won't allow you to configure just one card on your system indicated by lspci:
Open alsamixer F6 choose device 1 SB Audigy 2.Verify sound levels up, no mute.
Determine device name for SB Audigy:
    aplay -L

My awe32 sb16 is default:CARD=S16 yours is likely similar.
This command opens alsaplayer designating output to SB Audigy
    alsaplayer -d default:CARD=S16

    alsaplayer will open,add a sound file,should play.
If you have an onboard sound chip turn it off in the bios, so soundconf won't detect it.

wow i can't believe it was as easy as plugin it in to the other sound card.
after i did that, it worked like a charm. Thanks for all the help.
