No Lxpanel

    I'm new to Slitaz just playing with it for the first time today so it as fast as anything I can ask for but I can't get any LXDE to come up at all I have a Slitaz desktop with 3 icon and the Slitaz logo with the mouse I can right click and get the web browser and openbox config menu that all left click is nothing at all this is on the Live Cd

    I think you mean to say that you don't have lxpanel (instead of no lxde)
    lxpanel &

    Start lxpanel manually and see if it seg fault. Typically, caused by lxpanel's own plugins.

    Thanks you but when I try lxpanel & as you say the panel come up then go back down just as fast I don't think it a bad download or a bad burn I done it over 4 times the same each time my machine is a old dell latitude C600 256 mb P3 laptop

    I just again downloaded and burn Slitaz the md5 is good try it on a tower with a p4 work good so why won't it work on my mechine ?

    A full hd partition or not enough ram (and no swap) might cause the problem.

    Try a loram flavor if 256mb is not enough for the regular live cd.
