Android emulator not working
  • WilliamWilliam April 2010
    Ok,

Apart for the non-free nvidia driver, Slitaz works perfectly for my need, so I come back to my main problem:
    Hi,

My laptop is too slow for Android development under Vista, so I'm trying under Slitaz.
Unfortunatly, everytime I try to launch the Android Emulator from Eclipse, I got a "X connection to broken :0.0 (explicit kill or server shutdown)" error, whatever the XOrg driver I use (vesa or nv)

According http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/emulator.html, I noticed Android emulator use QEmu (to emulate the ARM processor) so it means (?) the Android emulator is a QEmu window with the phone skin ....
Is it why it doesn't work on Slitaz ?

I tried under XUbuntu without problem....but I really would like to use Slitaz, not Xubuntu :(

    Thanks

    William

qemu arm support is already added in undigest dirs:
    http://hg.slitaz.org/wok-undigest/rev/4bc3376c12ed
    http://hg.slitaz.org/wok-undigest/rev/818af517c874

The package I think is not yet uploaded to undigest repos. You may compile these receipts yourself if you need this urgently. BTW, ARM support is on the roadmap for the next SliTaz.
