Sound recording on EeePC 900

    I have installed Slitaz 2.0 on an usb stick with TazUSB and I am happily using it on my EeePC 900 netbook but I cannot record sound in Sykpe test call no matter whether I am using a headset microphone or front mic. Sound recording is OK in all other live usb distributions I have tried so far, including Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10, Easy Peasy 1.5, Eeebuntu 3.0, Fedora 12 and Puppy Linux 4.3.1.

    lspci outputs this:

    Shall I install something or edit some .conf file?

    Check alsamixers settings in capture view ?

    Verify you can record with Menu/Multimedia/AudioEditor mhWaveEdit

    Then maybe skype will work.

    Yes, capture is pushed full up but still cannot record sound with mhWaveEdit.

    It is fixed in the 2010-Mar-14 slitaz-cooking.iso

    has this been fixed with the 3.0-vesa version? i am having the same problem on my Dell Latitude D420, the alsamixer channels have been activated. is this a known bug?

    I think it snot a bug - it just happens on different system sometimes - its more the lack of knowledge of alsa, amixer, alsamixer - see here ...
