USB Booting
  • newusernewuser February 2010
    I have tried several times to get the USB to backup the running system back to the USB, but at logout I get no prompt to do so. I know the USB is writable because if I rum the tazusb it will create it and I can writeit back to the USB,however if I go that way I loose the tux user.

    Can someone point me in the right direction.

    To follow the path:
    look to the master,
    follow the master,
    walk with the master,
    see through the master,
    become the master.

    Try home=/dev/sdxx to boot option adds the check box options on log out screen to writefs to new rootfs.gz
    I've used with hard drive frugal and my own usb thumb drive installs.

    Correction:
    home=sdxx for sata/usb
    home=hdxx for ide
