• chris_westchris_west April 2010
yes well i am a newb to the whole linex distro so give me a break on that ... after running an if config i cam up with these results
"link encap:local llopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 mask : 255.0.0.0
up loopback running mtu:16436 metric:1
rx packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
tx packets :0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carier:0
collisions txqueueler :0
rx bytes:0 (0.0 B) tx bytes:0 (0.0 B)
Maybe this is what was wanted?
so obviously it has no connection whatsoever ... and im not sure what to do ... my internet works fine through the vista side just not through this side
when i run sudo aptitude search net-tools it says
-sh: sudo: not found
i dont know alot about these linex mini distros cause im usually a windows guy ... though i figure i should begin myslef with multiple platforms ... so any help would be greatly appreciated ... i would really like to get this fixed soon

sudo aptitude search <----not in SliTaz
tazpkg search <-----is in SliTaz
Is this post relevant to you : http://forum.slitaz.org/index.php/discussion/comment/1103/#Comment_1103 ?

Otherwise, please let us know your Ethernet card and module (lspci | grep -i [eE]th)?
