cups printer sharing

Has anyone already shared a cups-based printer with an XP client ?
From the documentation it seems it should work almost out of the box once the "share printer" box is ticked in the cups management window, but i cannot see my printer from my xp machine

it does work, and almost out of the box.
As described, the steps are to define a class, add the printer to the class (this is done with the cups gui). Then in windows add a network printer using the appropriate name.
I hope it will or may help others.
