Xorg x Xvesa

    Olá!

    O servidor Xvesa ativava a resolução certa para o meu monitor de LCD do note mas tive q instalar o Xorg para instalar o synaptics para meu mousepad. Com o Xorg, não consigo a resolução 1280x800x24 usando o drive vesa. Gostaria de saber como configurar a resolução correta sem instalar o drive da VIA.

    Desde já, agradeço a atenção!

    Você pode tentar usar o pacote para placas via (veja http://forum.slitaz.org/index.php/discussion/comment/3627/#Comment_3627).

    Caso não queira mesmo, acredito que o pacote 915resolution possa ser a resposta para o que você quer.

    Instalei o pacote 915resolution, e alterei o o Xorg.config com Load "915resolution", é isto? O q devo fazer para funcionar?

    Procurei na internet. Rodando do terminal:

    # 915resolution -l

    retorna:

    Unknown chipset type and unrecognized bios.

    cara tentar editar o seu xorg.conf...
    Digita como root no terminal:
    #beaver /etc/X11/xorg.conf

    Procure a sessão screen e deixa assim...

    Obrigado Claudinei e Canguru!!

    Depois de semanas tentando configurar o video, finalmente com a ajuda de vcs consegui.

    Instalei o drive do Claudinei e preparei o xorg.config como o canguru recomendou e estou com meu video em 1280x800.
