Screen "OUT OF RANGE"
  • gerrygerry November 2009
Booted Slitaz 2 from cd, during boot I selected correct resolution for my monitor, but when it finished booting, I got the "Out of Range" message in the centre of the screen. I can't find any way to correct this. How do I re-select screen resolution once booted?

    Hi,
Switch to the console and run tazx.
May be you have a problem with the refresh rates.
For very high resolution you may use Xorg rather than Xvesa (the default X server in live mode)

Thanks, but that does not work. I tried using xvesa in Puppy Linux, and that works with 800x600x16, but that setting (nor any other) does not get rid of the "Out of Range" when using Slitaz.
tazx only allows change of resolution, not refresh rate.
