Better Graphics in SliTaz

the only thing i don't like about SliTaz is that the resolution is very low by defualt, i tried booting with the screen command but nothing change, i ran $ slitaz screen = 1900x1020 but no such luck. it also dose not take up the whole of my screen. i find these things very annoying and would like to remedy them as i am becoming rather fond of SliTaz (i have not installed it yet but i have tested it from the CD a bunch). how do i get it to 1) increase the resolution to 1900x1020 and 2) make it fit the screen completely. i have a 24' 1900x1020 screen and i like to be able to look at a lot of things at once so the only taking up 20' and having a 800x600 resolution(i don't know the resolution just guessing)

ok i have another question, when i install wine and have my nvidia drivers setup i still cannot play DirectX games. i have some programs that use DirectX and where written in visual c++ and as such require the vc++ run time redistribution's. what do i need to do to make them run in wine? i figure anything that is not portable or requires the registry wont work by just running it but these applications are portable and do not require the registry to run, so what is the issue?
