Hello, any help would be appreciated on getting the Netgear wn311b wireless card to work on slitaz. I do not know if it takes the regular "Broadcom" drivers or what. If anyone has any ideas or instructions on how to get the wlan working with netgear cards it would be highly appreciated, thanks! Note: also have a Netgear wg311v2 also doesnt work. and I have some linux knowledge. Not much with installing drivers and what not. Im currently using Windows Xp as a back-up OS so I can get online. THANKS, Tom
There is no native linux driver for either wireless card. Use ndiswrapper with the windowsxp driver on slitaz-2.0 The Netgear wg311v2 is reported to have the ACX111 chipset. Try this first,my wireless has the same chipset. I know it works on slitaz-2.0, it is broken on slitaz-3.0 Open terminal:
menu/system tools/manage windows drivers:extract windows drivers to folder, browse to .inf, click install button, verify driver module is loaded. menu/system tools/wireless networks connections:Networks tab,you should see your access point, dbl click it to connect if open or enter password On my system: To connect wireless AP broadcasting SSID must be on,WPA security works.
