lspci shows:
Ethernet controller: linksys, a division of Cisco Systems [AirConn] INPROCOMM IPN 2220 Wireless LAN Adapter (rev 01)

I realized I needed to find windows drivers, so I downloaded them, then I spent forever trying to get tazndis installed. I assume its installed correctly because there is now an option under system tools that says "Manage Windows Drivers"

I opened that up found the driver and clicked install. It now says "neti2220 driver installed: device(17FE:2220) present" at the bottom it says "Ndiswrapper kernel module (unloaded)" I am not sure if this is important

Now being all excited that my driver seems to be installed I went into the wireless settings but it still isnt picking up any networks.

I was reading around and I noticed the results of the command ifconfig -a are often requested.
I put this in and the only connections I have are dummy0 and lo. there is no wlan0

what is going on here?

Verify you have all depends for tazndis installed:
perl-core.tazpkg
ndiswrapper-driver.tazpkg
wireless_tools.tazpkg

There is a Load button for ndiswrapper kernel module. Click lsmod button,see if ndiswrapper is listed.

I can't get ndiswrapper to work on slitaz 3.0 , radio associates but no tcp/ip
slitaz 2.0 which has tazndis pre-installed on the standard full iso works great.

I have all of these packages installed im not sure where the load button your talking about is, when i type lsmod in terminal it doesnt show ndiswrapper though. Im gonna see how slitaz 2.0 works in the mean time

One issue to immediately address when using slitaz-2.0 is the tazpkg download mirror address has changed.

root@slitaz: nano /var/lib/tazpkg/mirror

Change: http://mirror.slitaz.org/packages/slitaz-2.0/
To: http://mirror.slitaz.org/packages/2.0/
Remove all entrys below this,save and recharge twice

lsmod indicates ndiswrapper isn't loaded

ok so i switched to 2.0 and sure enough tazndis installed the driver and loaded the module. when i typed lsmod in xterm it showed ndiswrapper in the list. however it still isnt showing any wireless networks, i even sat the laptop right next to the router to see if it just wasnt picking up the signal. the network is completely unsecured also. I noticed in the connections manager that the only connection was the loop back, there is no wlan0 listed. idk if this is normal or not

Without wlan0 the wireless adapter is unrecognized and dead to the kernel. I would try another windows driver, google for other linux users experience with your adapter.

I tried a different set of drivers and still no dice, how can I tell that I'm getting the right ones?

well nvm I restarted the computer to try putting a 3rd set on there and now its magically working :) Thanks a bunch
