CANT CONNECT TO INTERNET

    tried to connect to internet using 'pppoe-setup' command on console but when i click start nothing happens.

    I've tried everything but cant connect to the network.I'm running from the live cd.
    Any help appreciated.

    If you still cannot access, please give more details (commands used and system outputs).

    Post more info:
    - what the console says after running the pppoe-setup command
    - what is your hardware (ethernet card / wifi card) (look in the manual from the shop you've bought the computer in).

    Hi thanks for getting back.
    I have a Realtek semiconductor RTL8111/8168B PCI express gigbit ethernet controller and it's showing up in the hardware device section.Just wont connect no matter what I do.
    I'm not too sure how to get the commands info from the system outputs???
