    My lectures are in low res and play amall in mplayer. how to zoom them? as we do in winmediaplayer by simply draging out?

    You can use:
    Ctrl+1 - original size
    Ctrl+2 - double size
    Ctrl+0 - half the original
    Ctrl+F - full screen.

    There is a GTK frontend in Gnome-Mplayer which I assume you can drag-resize...?

    Add
    zoom="1"
    to
    .mplayer/config

    While playing hit the F key for fullscreen.
