    2) Further I tried to make an iso so that I can preserve the current install with mPlayer,
    But once the during iso creation i gaot an error like that.... cannot mount kernel
    the next time i tried it said completed but I dont know there it has saved the new iso
    3) Y dont u include a video player in the default stable release .In which world you live??!

    Hi @ayaz --

    On your first question:
    Can you specify a video output (-vo) device, like those listed at: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?s=e5e0b0c88916d22a64dd5a56738d7f6c&p=8645543&postcount=4
    e.g.
    mplayer -vo x11 [filename]
    or
    mplayer -vo xv [filename]
    etc.

    If so, I think you can specify a default in a configuration file. Google is telling me to add it in ~/.mplayer/config:
    vo=x11
    or
    vo=xv
    or whichever works from above.

    HIH.
