@Madbox: Screenshots look really good. So, I downloaded madbox.iso. Unfortunately, kernel hangs while booting. Don't know why. Please check and let me know. I will try again. Latest Slitaz cooking CD boots correctly.
I think I found the problem ( when uncompress rootfs in memory -> lzma ). I always made my 'custom' remaster in chroot ( ubuntu ). I have to compress rootfs with lzma from slitaz , not with ubuntu. It's work fine wtih virtualbox (why ?) but not working on my netbook ( kernel hangs while booting ). This is not append if I compress rootfs with gzip but rootfs = 120 Mo ( 80 Mo with lzma ) ..
So I have to upload new iso .. Thanks to point this bug :)
Ok .. I compress rootfs with lzma (slitaz) but same problem .. work fine with virtualbox and hangs while booting with "real" hardware :( So it's not related with lzma. I boot the same rootfs with kernel 2.6.29.3 and no more problem ! Another problem with kernel 2.6.30 , I can't load ext4 module .. ( unknown symbol ? )
Is the Slitaz version faster in terms of booting up/general speed? Otherwise, I love this. I tried it out on Virtualbox, and the look and feel of it is uniform and pleasing. I can't wait for you to get it working on real hardware (I am willing to test for you if you want), and once I figure out how to run a Slitaz hard disk install off of RAM, I think I'll make this my "quick boot" distro.
Edit: I just took a look at your site http://www.ad-comp.be , and I'm wondering - Is Slitaz going to be your new base system?
