First

I need code of a Html form with PHP to write the results in a SQlite DB

After, I may be able to view all my DB on the page. Some statistical button options to check to compute and have results back yould be very nice :D

Just be able to modify the code with the couple : Leafpad - Midori

shoud'nt all of the older netcard drivers be added, as slitaz is so great on older hardware. i cannot use slitaz on my compaq evo n1020v, as there is no module for the realtek 8139.

the optimal solution would to make an extra taz pakage with additional drivers for ethernet, and just add as many as possible (or more:) to this package. then there is no bloat for the linux kernel package, but via usb you could add the older drivers using this new linux-alt-ethernet.tazpkg.

thanks for a great system. hop you like the idea.

Remastering technics (without CD, changing menu from Tazx etc.) http://vanilla.slitaz.org/index.php?p=/discussion/1919/remastering-technics-without-cd-changing-menu-from-tazx-etc. Sun, 17 Oct 2010 23:35:11 +0200 oui 1919@/index.php?p=/discussions
As my msg on the French forum from last week did get no answer, I repeat it in my bad English here:

After a CD start to get a fresh system and very more than one hour to increase the system with new packages the liveCD routine refuses to continue because my CD drive is broken and the USB CD drive with which I did boot is not recognize because it is not mounted but after it is mounted can not be used because it is mounted, a really silly dilly situation!

a/ how to do to avoid that difficulty?

of course as the solution is not known, I did quit the session so that all the work was forgotten including the exact new configuration I did create!

where is the list of installed packages to find?

b/ how to do to reinstall exactly the same configuration from that list (of course, if possible automatically!)?

c/ as Slitaz 3.0 refuses to start (because the nv video driver was not taken under consideration in tazx and tazx always find that somewhat is not installed or is not good) I am using the flavour http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/3.0/flavors/slitaz-3.0-xvesa.iso with the tinyx. how to rebuild the usual menu from tazx after the installation of (all / usual) xorg packages (the installation of wine starts in all cases the installation of the most of them and don't accept tinyx at all as equivalent!) that to allow to try to start the usual xorg installation at the start with the remastered CD from the new ISO? and how to add the nv video driver to the tazx menu of the new remastered ISO (this is my main goal with the remastering!)? perhaps it is possible to add also tinyx in the same menu for all cases...?

d/ SliTaz proposes in the flavour iso with tinyx a keybord us_accentos. it is better than nothing, ok. but it is not good enough for a bilingual user French/German because no ç æ ß etc ... (I can write them now because I am in Puppy linux ;-) ). the us_intl offers very more possibilities. what is to do to add it in best position in my new remastered ISO (best position would be default selection!)?

epdfview-cups genpkg produce a no icon desktop file:
the first tazwok if copy in $fs/usr/share/applications the original desktop file who refers to icon_epdfview-48.png , which has been deleted
the second tazwok if does nothing because stuff/applications does not exist
the third tazwok if does nothing because the desktop file in stuff is epdfview.desktop while the PACKAGE variable contains epdfview-cups .

Solutions:
1) create a applications subdir in stuff and move the provided desktop file in it, so with the second if tazwok will owerwrite the original desktop file whith the provided one
2) modify the third if in tazwok to catch stuff/*.desktop. it should be very probably that a desktop file in stuff is there to go in $fs/usr/share/applications :-)

[FSF] Hardware we all want: FSF announces criteria for hardware endorsement program http://vanilla.slitaz.org/index.php?p=/discussion/1901/fsf-hardware-we-all-want-fsf-announces-criteria-for-hardware-endorsement-program Thu, 14 Oct 2010 17:24:15 +0200 Gokhlayeh 1901@/index.php?p=/discussions
Hardware we all want: FSF announces criteria for hardware endorsement
program "Respects Your Freedom"

http://www.fsf.org/news/endorsement-criteria

BOSTON, Massachusetts, USA -- Thursday, October 14, 2010 -- The Free
Software Foundation (FSF) announced today that it has published an initial
set of criteria for endorsing computers and other devices. The FSF seeks
both to obtain feedback on the criteria, and raise interest in the program
among hardware manufacturers. Ultimately, the FSF plans to promote an
endorsement mark to be carried on products that meet the criteria:
respects your freedom.

http://libreplanet.org/wiki/Hardware/Endorsement_criteria

"The desire to own a computer or device and have full control over it, to
know that you are not being spied on or tracked, to run any software you
wish without asking permission, and to share with friends without worrying
about Digital Restrictions Management (DRM) -- these are the desires of
millions of people who care about the future of technology and our
society. Unfortunately, hardware manufacturers have until now relied on
close cooperation with proprietary software companies that demanded
control over their users. As citizens and their customers, we need to
promote our desires for a new class of hardware -- hardware that anyone
can support because it respects your freedom," said Peter Brown, executive
director of the FSF.

The FSF's criteria seek to cover all aspects of user interaction with and
control of a device: they say the hardware must run free software on every
layer that is user upgradeable, allow the user to modify that software,
support free data formats, be fully usable with free tools, and more.

FSF license compliance engineer Brett Smith said, "Every software
component needed to produce endorsable hardware is now available. We have
several GNU/Linux distributions that only include free software, and are
completely functional on the right hardware. We have the LinuxLibre kernel
that does not include nonfree microcode. And we have cutting edge mobile
platforms like Android and MeeGo that are based on free software. In the
past we've spoken to manufacturers who were interested in making free
software-friendly hardware, but they worried about connecting with
customers. With our endorsement mark and the strong criteria that back it,
we plan to bridge that gap and demonstrate to manufacturers that they
stand to gain plenty by making hardware that respects people's freedom
instead of curtailing it."

The initial set of guidelines are available on the LibrePlanet wiki, at
http://libreplanet.org/wiki/Hardware/Endorsement_criteria. The FSF
welcomes contributions on the wiki discussion page, including suggestions
for improvements to the criteria, and ideas and art submissions for an
endorsement mark.

Hardware manufacturers interested in endorsement should contact
licensing@fsf.org.

About the Free Software Foundation

The Free Software Foundation, founded in 1985, is dedicated to promoting
computer users' right to use, study, copy, modify, and redistribute
computer programs. The FSF promotes the development and use of free (as in
freedom) software -- particularly the GNU operating system and its
GNU/Linux variants -- and free documentation for free software. The FSF
also helps to spread awareness of the ethical and political issues of
freedom in the use of software, and its Web sites, located at fsf.org and
gnu.org, are an important source of information about GNU/Linux. Donations
to support the FSF's work can be made at http://donate.fsf.org. Its
headquarters are in Boston, MA, USA.

About Free Software and Open Source

The free software movement's goal is freedom for computer users. Some,
especially corporations, advocate a different viewpoint, known as "open
source," which cites only practical goals such as making software powerful
and reliable, focuses on development models, and avoids discussion of
ethics and freedom. These two viewpoints are different at the deepest
level. For more explanation, see
http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/open-source-misses-the-point.html.

I then did # addgroup tux video and restarted. same deal though. no user hardware acel.

I then did LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo | grep render. which led me to the file /dev/dri card0 cannot open. so I checked permissions and only root has them for that file.

so I changed permissions with pcmanfm as root to allow user read+write permission then restarted . same deal no accel went back to folder no permission again

so I did chmod 666 /dev/dri/card0. restarted, still no permission after restart.
Works great for user as long as I don't restart.

Then I tried adding sudo chmod 666 /dev/dri/card0 to rcS.conf file to run at boot. but it says it
cannot find the file.

I'm at a loss as to how to make the change stick without having to pcmanfm or chmod it at every startup.
