    Get_skype will not work, tar complaining that bzip2 does not exist. Should'nt it be added in the prerequisite and be automatically loaded ?

    it does work too, but tar first complained that bzip2 did not exist so i had to install that package first then get_skype worked

    If it worked on your side it is because bzip2 was already present on your system - only by pure hasard i guess...

    I have no idea, which iso you are using, but running

    tazpkg get-install get-skype && get-skype
    strait from the 3.0 iso works like a charme

    Seemed to work here also when booting from the CD.
    I am confused, and sorry for the inconvenience of the post....
    No idea why it did not work a while ago. Maybe i had uninstalled bzip2.
