    ok, i tried to do it how the tutorial said but
    when i logout the session the whole bottom
    panel disapears and i hae to maualy restart.
    which doesnt help at all.

    well now after i fresh installed again.... did what the handbook told me.... worked after all. freaking sweet!

    Hello Josh,

    In /etc/slim.conf you can choose which desktop will be started. Edit it as root, put e17 first, save and restart. Here is the corresponding part of my /etc/slim.conf file:

    # Available sessions (first one is the default).
    # The current chosen session name is replaced in the login_cmd
    # above, so your login command can handle different sessions.
    # see the xinitrc.sample file shipped with slim sources
    sessions openbox,e17,jwm,dwm,awesome
