[HELP] Conky below desktop [SOLVED]

    Hi! I`m having a problem with my conky system monitor. I've configured all the settings (colour, items, position , etc) editing de conky.conf file but I was not able to make it stay over the wallpaper. When it starts it looks fine... but as soon as I click on the desktop or a desktop icon conky disapears. If I desable the desktop managment in the system preferences menu the conky appears, but obviously I don't have any icons nor wallpaper and I don´t want that!

    Does anyone have a solution?

    using 3 and 5 of those fixed all the conky issues I had.
    In short, just add the following to your conky.conf:
    double_buffer yes
    own_window yes
    own_window_type desktop # Try also 'normal' or 'override'

    Thanks for te answer but I still have the problem...

    own_window_type desktop # Try also 'normal' or 'override' -> If i put desktop I`ve the problem previously described (it disappears below de desktop). Override does the same tihng. And if I use normal 
    it behaves like a normal window (showing it in the lxpanel) and with borders ... it doesn't look like a desktop applet.

    Is any other way? Something to change in openbox configuration perhaps? Do you have conky working wihout any problems?

    do you have create a conkyrc config file into your " /home"  folder? -> " /home/yourname/.conkyrc" ?

    EDIT: Ok, I found I had the same issue and it takes a little more work to work, but I figured it out. You need to add or replace the following in your config:

    own_window yes
    own_window_class Conky
    own_window_type normal
    own_window_hints undecorated,below,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager
    own_window_hints below
    own_window_transparent yes
    use_xft yes
    xtfalpha1

    and it will work like you'd expect.

    I further reduced the changes to just these:
    double_buffer yes
    own_window yes
    own_window_class Conky
    own_window_hints undecorated,below,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager
    own_window_transparent yes
