Acer Aspire One 521 Trackpad
  • stephentstephent January 2011
It's so damn sensitive with Slitaz.  I just booted this distro for the first time on my netbook and I can't really do anything because I can't get the mouse where I want it to be.  It's hard even to hold it in one spot, and near impossible to get the mouse to stay where you want if you remove your finger as cautious as you can.  It darts off in some direction and you can't really click on anything you want without half a minute of trying to focus the mouse where it should be.

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks!

    Hi @stephent --

You can slow any connected mouse down with xset (available in the xorg-xset package) by running
    xset m [acceleration] [threshold]
    Mine is currently
    xset m 1.3 3

This takes effect instantly; once you find a good setting add it to your "Auto Started Applications" or ~/.xinitrc file (just before the case) to set it for each time you log in.

I'm not sure about just the trackpad though, this may be a quick workaround to ease the pain.

    HIH.
