[Solved] User cannot use conky but root can

    A normal user cannot start conky and gets a message about no config file anywhere but root starts conky ok with the /etc/conky/conky.conf.

    How do I fix it?

    Edit- I noticed the conky.conf only has read permissions for root.

    Changing the read permissions worked.

    if i remember well the usual way would be to copy /etc/conky/conky.config in ~/.conkyrc
    this would allow different configurations for different users
