wifi trouble, card installed not connecting to AP
  • ninonino February 2010
    Hi I have a zyxel m-102 cardbus I've installed ndis drivers and slitaz are picking the card up. I can see my access point which are WPA2-PSK(AES) . But can't get any connection for it. when running the network.sh manually it comes up saying "no lease, forking to background". I also know the AP are working since my xstreamer and work windows xp laptop can connect to it.

    I've tried manually editing the network.conf, using static ip's that does not work either. I've also tried editing the wpa suplicant config, using the simple example :
    network={
    ssid="myap"
    psk="thekey"
    priority="5"
    }

    Any clue whats wrong?

    Also ifconfig -a shows wlan0 as there

    i've trie adding proto=WPA2
    still no luck

    Correct way,
    proto=RSN
    WPA2 has been recently added to boot-scripts: http://hg.slitaz.org/slitaz-boot-scripts/rev/3e13b3a30ae5

    New cooking release is around the corner. This should be added to it.

    Yup adding that to the script fixed it, it did not help adding it to the supplicant.conf

    Thanks.

    Now I just have to figure out why firefox are so slow browsing with
