Installation Install rox like this:
# tazpkg get-install rox-filer
This package only installs the default Slitaz locales (english, french, german, portuguese-brazilian). To get other locales, install rox-filer-locales:
# tazpkg get-install rox-filer-locales
This will install these locales: cs es fi it no pt_PT sv zh_CN da et_EE fr ja pl ro uk zh_TW de eu hu nl pt_BR ru vi Icons There are no icons in the rox-filer package. Rox will use the default Tango icons used by SliTaz. If you want to use the Rox-filer icons, install: rox-default-icons:
# tazpkg get-install rox-default-icons
To use them, indicate rox-default-icons in the rox menu (section Types). Openbox The rox-filer package contains a little script which may be used by openbox to show the directories bookmarked by GTK: /usr/lib/openbox/rox-open-folder-menu.sh. To use this script, add these lines to your ~/.local/openbox/menu.xml:
menu id="open-folder-menu" label="Rox"
execute="/usr/lib/openbox/rox-open-folder-menu.sh" />
Usage Rox-filer has good English documentation. There is no need here to give you any more information. But, know that you'll need to indicate to rox which software you want to use for each mimetype. This is sometimes boring, if you want to automate this configuration step, you can use the shell script which is in the french wiki. To use it, just indicate the software you like. Be careful, your mime types will be overwritten.
