It seems there is still ( http://labs.slitaz.org/issues/show/203 ) the same problem with samba.
I've just installed a new cooking today (2010-01-10) and samba is broken :

• * it wants libldap-2.3 but libldap-2.4 is the current version.
• * acl dependency is missing

For information, samba size is quite big, I've installed :

slitaz-base + bash + screen = 36.7M

+ samba and dependencies = 156.6M

- perl = 119.8M


I don't know why perl is needed for samba ?

I would suggest moving "perl" to SUGGESTED and providing a samba-no-cups package for people who don't have a printer.
