    this seams like a great distro for my parents to learn linux on but they're REALLY into playing the gnome games
    is there any way i can get them installed here?

    I believe he means the gnome-games package from Debian/Ubuntu. I checked and it requires a couple of packages, one of which is a whopping 24MB in size. It also requires various small packages to make  certain games work (like chess).
