unable to compiling busybox-1.2.2 with Scratchbook instructions on Ubunutu 10.10

    Hello,
    I'm trying to build Slitaz from scratch. When I reach the procedure to build busybox, I'm running into this build error:

    In function ‘open’,
    inlined from ‘gzip_main’ at /home/user/Projects/SlitazFromScratch/distro/src/busybox-1.2.2/archival/gzip.c:1235:
    /usr/include/bits/fcntl2.h:51: error: call to ‘__open_missing_mode’ declared with attribute error: open with O_CREAT in second argument needs 3 arguments

    I've find multiple hits on this via google, but nothing with a working fix. Has anyone run into this and found a solution? Is the problem Ubu10.10?

    I have only one question... why?

    As for ubuntu:
    1. Do you have the build-essential package installed?
    2. Do you have all the required packages and their -dev variation installed?

    That's pretty much all I have to ask for now.

    problem solved. Had to revert to gnu 4.2.4. Ubu10.10 has gcc 4.3 installed by default.
