How do I install a cooking package? (and compile Denemo)
  • CurtCurt November 2009
Hi! This is my first post, so . . .

Hello. My name is Curt. (Everyone says, "Hi, Curt.") Ah, it's AA all over again. Now back to business.

I am trying to compile Denemo 0.8.10, and I got this error message:

configure: error: guile required but not found

In the SliTaz Package Manager GUI, I did not find a package called guile. But when I look at the cooking packages on http://pkgs.slitaz.org/cooking/development.html I see one called guile-1.8.7.tazpkg. How do I get the SliTaz Packages Manager GUI to install it?

In an identical problem, I want to know how to install Pidgin 2.6.3 from the cooking packages.

Later I might need more help with compiling, but in the words of Archie Bunker, "We'll burn that bridge when we come to it."

Thanks for helping the new guy with SliTaz.
    Curt

    on a terminal type:

    >tazpkg set-release cooking

    >tazpkg recharge

then the package should be found.

Howdy, Stranger!
