  • FTAFTA November 2010
xorg can not find a suitable resolution of the screen and falls with the error:
"(EE) Screen (s) found, but none have a usable configuration.
Fatal server error: no screens found"
the entire log is large enough to upload here (1700 lines)

    how to get around this?
P.S. By the way xorg works on other systems without such errors (debian 5.0, ubuntu 9.10 \ 10.10, archlinux)
laptop = toshiba satellite l300-110 with:
    Displaysize:
15.4 "type: Toshiba TruBrite ® WXGA TFT High Brightness display
    internal resolution: 1,280 x 800

    stable slitaz 3.0
p.s.s. sorry for bad language skills (

xorg needs a /home partition with ext2 or ext3 - create it with gparted, copy tux to the partition and follow the guide here: http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:faq-login

    Follow this: http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:xorg-xvesa

    choose your adapter from

    2mojo:

your link with "Intel cards" helped me start slitaz

but I still can not understand why not working "i915.modeset=1" while system requests other option before booting

    dear kultex,
you do not understand the question
    Sincerely F.T.A.!
