I keep getting this error when running scripts. grep does not appear to have this option, so why is it being used? Is there a different version of grep available, and if so where would I get that. Alternatively, is there a different option that can replace 'x'? Sorry for the barrage of questions, been trying to google this without much luck. Thanks for your time.
slitaz's grep is provided by busybox, which seems to lack the -x option and the ability to match only whole lines with the pattern you are searching for: http://unixhelp.ed.ac.uk/CGI/man-cgi?grep try grep --help to see the options available in busybox's grep. so you could modify scripts or if the script really needs matching a whole line you could install the real grep, but i think that in 3.0 it's not provided by any package, so you should use a debian or arch package or build it yourself.
