    Did you see the guide they have on their site?
    --> http://go-oo.org/developers (the "Source" section)
    --> http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/ooo-build/BuildingIt

    Install the slitaz-toolchain package and follow those instructions.

    We have docs you can read:
    --> http://doc.slitaz.org/en:cookbook:start
    --> http://doc.slitaz.org/en:handbook:packages
    --> http://doc.slitaz.org/en:cookbook:receipt

    I've been compiling and packaging a couple of small programs recently. I've found the docs could do with a bit of work WRT newcomers so will update them soon.

    Good luck!

    Good Luck Indead ! How to compile package with tazwok or generaly in slitaz ? I have googled a lot and found the same source you mentioned, but its like taking chinese to user ! No philosofing abaut it, some receipt file change to achive what ? Clean step by step guide how to compile software in slitaz would be necesery to post as nowhere to find it ! I do not want make a master degree on it, i only will compile it so i can install it and hopfuly use it ! And that is all ! Leaving all the finesse and options and what so ever to those who want deal with it ! Why being so good damn hard on user and posted documets on web arent much help, (their prety much philosofing abaut it) becose it is always something missing or go wrong in real life or work i you like! Im fighting with slitaz more than a month now and it im also very frustrated ! Its like fighting in command prompt ! O yes one more question ! How meny user do you think compile software in linux generaly sucsefuly ? That is one of the reason why linux will newer be for the common user and user friendly OS ! Its simply to much trouble with Linux !

    About 90% of them. The remaining 10% either don't know how (because it's not standard), are missing dependacies that the application needs to compile or the linux enviroment just isn't compatible with the application they're trying to compile.

    Before package managers came along, the only way to get something was to compile it. Before compiling prewritten code came along you had to write it yourself.

    What I hear from Go-OO's installer is that it's looks like it was written while the programmer was drunk, meaning you chose one of those programs that's pretty hard to compile. It's been done, but it's not been added as an offical SliTaz Package as of yet.

    @Trixar_za, if there is a tazpkg for Go-Oo is there a place where I can download it? I exchange a lot of documents with people on MSOffice, and Go-Oo's better compatibility with MSOffice would be very useful. Thanks.

    @ms3811 : if someone make a receipt and want to maintain it, the pkg will be available in cooking repository.
  • Trixar_zaTrixar_za September 2010
    When I said it's been done, I meant it was compiled before and there is (probably) a reciept to help you build it. Here's the thread post about it: http://forum.slitaz.org/index.php/discussion/comment/8473/#Comment_8473

    I don't think it exists in package form as of yet. Maybe you could contact @devl547 and ask him for one.

    I'll try my hand at it later too - maybe I can generate a package for it. I should just crash course myself into how to do it.
  • Trixar_zaTrixar_za September 2010
    Yeah... I agree with devl547 - this installer was written by an idiot...
    *goes back to trying to figure out which options to use*
