[SOLVED] Jabber-server for LAN, which domain?
  • Hi all

I installed ejabberd on my old Slitaz machine and wanted to conigure it. But creating an adminaccount as described here (http://www.process-one.net/en/ejabberd/guide_en#htoc17) did not work, because there is no ejabberctl.
So I tried to create one using Pidgin (am I right "Using a XMPP client and In-Band Registration" means using a client like Pidgin?). As domain I set the result of "hostname" and ressource I left blank.
    It did not work.
In /etc/ejabberd/ejabberd.cfg I wasn't sure how to edit "hosts" - standard is localhost...

How do I have to configure my server for LAN-only-usage? What is my domain?

    Thanks in advance
    Killerkaninchen
  • Don't hesitate to ask, if there is something unclear...
  • In deed there is no ejabberctl - it is called ejabberdctl...
    Domain is my
    hostname

    My fault - mea culpa...
