Summer of Documentation
  • jozeejozee May 2010
    This year the SliTaz team is having a 'Summer of Documentation', an idea that came from SliTaz growing community. So, we hope everyone will contribute to make this a success. Please refer the announcement on the website : http://www.slitaz.org/en/index.html .

    Thanks.

    Thats a wonderful idea, really necessary. Perhaps to avoid double work - as soon, as you start working on a guide, post it here. For translation I recommand http://translate.google.com/# - it is quite good, keeps a lot the formating codes and you have to adopt very little things.

    @jozee - perhaps you can make this announcement to be seen in all languages - or I write a german one, that you make sticky? I just did a quick translation of the Summer of Dokumentation: http://doc.slitaz.org/de:dokusommer

    Hi @Kultex --

    Thanks for the translation of the 'About' section, too! I think that any pages that haven't been translated manually by the end, I'll run them through a site like GT for the time being.

    More generally: there's been a little discussion on the mailing list (see: http://ur1.ca/00glb)
    I agree we need to sort out some guidelines and plan what pages are most important etc. I'd love to see the community take part in the planning, hopefully the writing & translations too!

    We've made a start on the planning (guidelines):
    => http://doc.slitaz.org/guidelines

    ... and the pages we would the docs site to cover:
    => http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:start

    If anyone has any thoughts on this, pages to add, points to discuss, anything, please post here or on the mailing list.
